Oh, Vacation why did you go by so fast?

We are back home from our vacation! We had so much fun and made a lot of good memories with the boys, but it went by to fast. We left on Sunday, July the 4th and headed up to Williamsburg, VA. Traffic was not to bad, but with two little boys it took longer than it should, but that is ok, we had fun. We arrived at our hotel the Crowne Plaza around 5:00pm. We unpacked the truck, got our room all settled and headed straight for the pool. Todd headed over to Chili's to pick up our dinner. We ate poolside and had a very yummy dinner.

The next day we were off to Busch Gardens despite the heat. Plenty of cool spots there to cool down. Including the splash pools in the kids areas. Around 4pm or so we headed back to the room to rest. We played in the pool at the hotel some more, because little boys can never get enough of a pool. Wyatt met a little friend Hailey that he wanted to be pen pals with, but he forgot her room number and could not give her his address (he was so dissapointed). That night at our hotel in the courtyard they showed a movie and we could see it perfectly from our balcony, so we were entertained watching them make homemade pizza's in a brick oven and watching the movie (Wyatt thought this was awesome).

On Tuesday we headed to Water Country, it was still pretty hot, but we managed to keep cool on the water slides and kiddie pools. We ended our day there with several trips around Hubba Hubba Highway (a fast moving lazy river), both of the boys loved this. After getting back to the hotel and resting for a bit we headed to Wyatt's favorite restaurant...Olive Garden. The food was wonderful and we payed cash so no one there could steal our credit card number (which happened last year).

On Wednesday we had breakfast at Cracker Barrell (yummy) did a little shopping, visited some sites in Colonial Williamsburg and was lazy until the afternoon when we went back to Busch Gardens. Wyatt got overheated and complained of a headache and tummy ache. By the time we got him back to the room he was miserable, so he went straight to bed. Poor guy had a headache all night, but he was better in the morning.

On Thursday, the boys stayed with Todd while I did some more shopping. Later that afternoon I took them to Target for awhile and Todd hung out at the room. While we were gone the power went out at our hotel. Thankfully it was only out a couple of hours. That afternoon we headed back to Bush Gardens, the weather was so much cooler and the boys had the most fun they had probably had all week. They both got their faces painted like spiderman and we enjoyed some italian food. They both watched the fireworks from inside the truck and enjoyed them without being scared for the first time. I think we all slept really good Thursday night, they were two very tired little boys with two very tired parents.

Friday morning we sadly packed up and left Williamsburg (Wyatt cried when we left the hotel, but Warren wanted to get home to see his Molly dog). The trip home was a lot quicker and the boys did really well (what did we do before portable DVD players???). Now we are home, laundry is washing, suitcases put away, and a lot of good memories we will keep with us forever.
